Privacy Policy
The short version: the SlapSafe tool runs entirely on your own machine and never sends your code, files, or scan results anywhere. This policy covers the small amount of data involved in buying from and visiting slapsafe.com.
This Privacy Policy explains how SlapForge ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the slapsafe.com website and the SlapSafe product.
1. The SlapSafe tool collects nothing
SlapSafe is a local command-line tool. It does not make network requests, does not contain analytics or telemetry, and does not transmit your source code, scan results, or any other data to us or to any third party. Everything it reads and reports stays on your machine. We never see your code.
2. Information related to your purchase
When you buy SlapSafe, the transaction is handled by a third-party payment processor (for example, Stripe or Gumroad). They collect and process the information needed to complete your purchase — such as your email address, name, and payment details — under their own privacy policies. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We may receive your email address and order information so we can deliver the product, provide support, send your receipt, and handle refunds.
3. Website analytics
The slapsafe.com website may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand visit counts and traffic sources. Any such analytics are used only in aggregate and are not used to identify individual visitors. The site does not sell your data.
4. How we use information
- To deliver SlapSafe and your receipt;
- To provide support and process refund requests;
- To send essential product updates relating to your purchase (we do not send marketing email without your consent);
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers needed to operate (payment processor, file/download host, email), and only as required to deliver the product or comply with law.
6. Data retention
We retain order and support records for as long as needed to provide support, honour refunds, and meet legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you (such as your order record), subject to legal retention requirements. To make a request, email jessyka@slapforge.com.
8. Children
SlapSafe is intended for developers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
