Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of SlapSafe ("the Software"), a digital product provided by SlapForge ("we", "us") via slapsafe.com. By purchasing, downloading, or using SlapSafe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
1. What SlapSafe is
SlapSafe is a downloadable command-line tool that performs a local, heuristic security scan of source code you point it at. It runs entirely on your own machine and does not transmit your code to us or any third party.
2. License
On purchase, you are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SlapSafe on your own personal and commercial projects, including in your own continuous-integration pipelines. You may not:
- resell, redistribute, sublicense, rent, or republish the Software or its source code, in whole or in part;
- present the Software (modified or not) as your own product or as part of another product offered for sale;
- remove or alter any copyright, license, or attribution notices.
3. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. SlapSafe performs a heuristic pre-launch check, not a comprehensive security audit or penetration test. It may produce false positives and may not detect every vulnerability. A clean SlapSafe result does not guarantee that your application is secure.
4. Your responsibility
You remain solely responsible for the security of your own applications, data, and users. SlapSafe is a tool to assist you; it does not replace your own review, professional security audits, or due diligence. You are responsible for acting on its findings, including rotating any exposed credentials.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlapForge and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, or for any security breach, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Software — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for it.
6. Payments and refunds
Payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. Prices are shown at checkout. Because SlapSafe is a digital product delivered immediately, you waive any statutory cooling-off period to the extent permitted by law. That said, we offer a 14-day refund: if the Software does not help you, email jessyka@slapforge.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
7. Updates
We may release updates to SlapSafe from time to time. Updates are provided at our discretion and are subject to these Terms.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance.
